Skill Set

Administration: Daily administration of Novell (3.12 -5.0) and Microsoft (3.51 and 4.0) Network.

Management of user accounts through policies, profiles and login scripts. Management of system

resources such as file, print and e-mail. System automation using AT, Poltergeist, BMC Patrol

and AutoSys. Daily backups using Arcserve, Backup Exec, NetBackup and Networker.

 

Messaging: Expert level knowledge of every version of Microsoft Exchange as well as Microsoft

Mail. Experience with the design, setup and administration of Netscape's SuiteSpot messaging

server. Working knowledge of Groupwise 5.2.

 

Integration: Broad knowledge of NT-UNIX integration using products from Hummingbird, Sun,

Citrix and Microsoft. Experience providing Macintosh and Unix file services from Novell servers.

 

Thin Client: Currently providing NT and Unix services to any type of WAN or LAN client using

Citrix Metaframe. Experienced in all manner of cross-platform terminal services.

 

LAN: Broad knowledge of all classes of networking equipment and technologies.

 

WAN: Experienced in the setup and maintenance of frame-relay and ISDN routers for remote

access as well as dial up solutions such as Microsoft's RAS server and Cisco's 2500 access

servers. Experience with the design, setup and administration of modem pools using Spartacom

software.

 

Security: Working knowledge of Checkpoint's Firewall-1 as well as RSA's SecureID. VPN

experience using Microsoft's PPTP as well as Checkpoint's VPN-1 SecuRemote.

 

Hardware: Hands-on experience with most PC server products from Compaq.
